First off I loved the front desk staff they were very friendly to the children and made them feel special by being so attentive to them, the room was clean and The bell hop was very nice and helpful. The problem came when we went to dinner and while waiting to be seated buy the hostess my nephew who happens to be autistic was making a little bit of noise and when he spoke (He has a speech impediment) she kept staring at him and she just wasn't friendly. The waitress was nice though, then at the breakfast buffet we were seated and our waiter was not helpful at all, at even trying to accommodate my nephews special food request and he refused to let us speak to a manager and then when another family came, he looked at us and asked if they would like to be seated at another table. Then as we were leaving I had a large stroller box that I needed to dispose of and I asked a housekeeper that was outside vacuuming if they had a dumpster I could put it in, she said I could not dump it in the dumpster. Then she came over and stomped on it and put it in the trashcan in front of the hotel( I was thankful that she did that) but then she starts speaking in Spanish about me not putting it in there saying it was a quick think to do. I would think that the staff would be better trained to deal with all children.
This is a great hotel. Easy commute to Philadelphia. The staff is friendly and helpful. Bartenders know how to pour a drink. The building looks "old school " on the outside, but inside is classic yet modern and very clean. The room we had was very well appointed with a king size bed and pool view. We had the continental breakfast which had a good selection of items, the late night bar bites were good as well. We will be back to stay whenever we're visiting family in Philadelphia.Hope this helps others to decide whether or not they would like to stay here.
Came here for a military ball. We thought the rooms were fine. Everything seemed cleanly enough. Huge pool right outside our [what we thought window] balcony pool view. Service was nice and friendly. Lots of stuff going on around the hotel too. Only about 25 minutes to the city. Lots of hotel amenities.
We had the best experience here! The room was very clean and it was very quiet! The service was great and friendly staff. Their breakfast buffet was delicious and a reasonable price. The manager was wonderful and greeted us each morning at breakfast asking us about our stay. She was very helpful and gave us dummy-proof directions to all the downtown Philadelphia historical sites because I told her how I was having a hard time navigating the city. I will definitely be staying here in my future visits to Philadelphia!! I highly recommend it!
My child and I have stayed here 4 times and every time they get more awesome. Thank you from a single mom for making an autistic childs birthday special. A special thanks to Amie and Alyssa.
